Since our founding in 1985, NAI Chase Commercial has become recognized as a prominent leader in Alabama for commercial real estate brokerage and property management. We attribute much of our growth and success to our basic commitment to quality and personal service. NAI Chase Commercial now has a staff of forty-four people, with offices in Birmingham and Huntsville. We manage over three million square feet of commercial property regionally.

Finn Recruits Cooper & Grelier to Join NAI
Jerry Finn founder of New America Network (NAN) now NAI Global, approached Charles Grelier Sr. of Cooper & Grelier to become founding affiliate member of NAI.
Becoming Part of NAI Global’s Original 10
Cooper & Grelier becomes one of the original 10 members making principals at NAI Chase Commercial some of the oldest members of NAI Global System.
John Hayden Realty is Founded
April 15, 1985, Founder John Hayden starts John Hayden Realty (predecessor to NAI Chase Commercial Real Estate) headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, setting up the first offices on Bob Wallace Avenue.
Grelier Jr. and Hayden Join Forces
Charles Grelier Jr. joins John Hayden Realty and renames the company NAI Chase Commercial Real Estate Services.
Morrison Named Vice President of NAI Chase
Richard “Dick” Morrison, a former US Naval Officer in WWII is hired and eventually becomes Executive Vice President of NAI Chase Commercial. Dick Morrison provided invaluable experience and wisdom helping steer the Company to its first million square feet managed.
Regional Builders is founded
March of 1997 Charlie Grelier, Jr. is named President and divides the firm into several subsidiaries focused on Brokerage, Property Management and Construction Services. Regional Builders was also founded as a services-oriented construction management company.
NAI Chase Opens Birmingham Branch
NAI Chase Commercial Realty opens its first branch office in Birmingham, Alabama at the Galleria Tower in Hoover
Celebrating 25 Years
NAI Chase Commercial Real Estate Services celebrates its 25th Year Anniversary
McCullough joins NAI Global Leadership Board
Doug McCullough, Vice President of Chase Commercial Realty is named to serve on the NAI Global Leadership Board and remains active in NAI Global leadership.
Regional Asset Management is Formed
Regional Asset Management is formed with its primary focus is to provide asset preservation for commercial properties during the foreclosure process.
Hunter named Executive Vice President
Ms. Tracy Hunter named Executive Vice President responsible for oversight of all property management and administrative functions.
NAI Chase Merges with Ponder Properties
During the Pandemic of 2020, NAI Chase Commercial merges with Ponder Properties, Inc. of Birmingham, Alabama adding Randy Thomas as Executive Vice President and over 1.8m square feet of commercial properties.
Thomas Named Brokerage VP
Mr. Randy Thomas named Executive Vice President over Brokerage.
